ANGEEEEELLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! *GLOMPS* I’m back! I finally finished my 8 long months up at school and am back for the summer. I’m so excited and can’t wait to dive back into writing again ... it’s been so long I feel rusty! But first I had to come and say hello to everyone before I submerge myself in unpacking and organizing to get my room ready for finishing off at least one of my manuscripts!
How have you been? How is the job? Boss still bothering you? Angela Perry replies: "Aww, Liz!!! *ginormous hugs* Wow, I’ve missed you! I’m glad you stopped in for a visit. How is school? Are you having fun?
I got a new (better) job, so the boss menace is gone *grins* I make less money but I’m lots happier, so it’s definitely worth it.
I look forward to reading some new stories from you!"
Squee! I’m very glad to be back. At first I couldn’t seem to motivate myself to write but I’ve been wandering around the woods for a bit, saying hello to everyone and leaving comments and reading stuff and it’s helped me to get my motivation back ... or should I say, my muses! They got quite the extended holiday there! So far I haven’t done anything new in the writing department quite yet. i edited the first part of Roisin again because I’m finally tired of having all of these unfinished mini-pieces up on my page and I wanted to finish off some of them ... but editing the first part was as far as I got last night *sigh* (at the moment I’m uploading artwork to finally put my drawings back up since I want to include characters, maps, etc from my stories so that people have ideas of what things look like ... especially the clothes in Desert Rose. I’ve really got to catch up on my comment prizes ... very behind in that department! I’ve got all except one of them started but it just seems to be the matter of finishing them ... and the fact that I don’t have them completely planned out either .... which kind of explains why it’s hard to finish *giggle*
School was crazy hectic, had an EVIL teacher (epitome of evil) and it was her first time teacher and because of her she failed 1/3rd of our class out of the program! Because you have to get a 60% in all of your classes and on all of your finals in order to pass to the next semester ... and with 14 finals to try and concentrate on, it was kind of a toss up on some of them. But hers were brutal, she’d tell us we didn’t have to know stuff and it would be on the final or she’d trick us. I think I’d better split this comment up before it becomes a novel!
But I just got my marks back for this semester and they’re all above B’s so I’m happy! (and very surprised! I thought for sure I’d failed one of that teacher’s final exams but they must have had to scale it) But I’m definitely interested in the stuff I’m learning and I know for sure that this is the profession I’m meant to be in.
I’m so glad that you got a better job and got rid of that jerk of a boss! Yeah, I’ll be making less money than I make right now after I finish school but I’ll also enjoy that job a lot more ... enjoying your job makes a world of difference.
How has the writing front been for you? Muse keeping you busy? Angela Perry replies: "That’s awesome! I know you were uber stressed, especially with that one teacher. It’s a good sign that you still like your profession after all that ;-)
My writing has been rather indirected the last few months. I have a bunch of stuff to work on, and I can’t decide what to work on, and I end up not working on anything... *sigh* The pirate project at Herscher promises to be fun, though. I can’t wait to read what everyone submits!"

Just saw your name and wondered if you could possible be a lady i knew long long ago, she was a cute preteen then teen singer then i lost track of her and her family, that was in new orleans Angela Perry replies: "Hi John Nope, sadly that wasn’t me. Perry is my married name, and I can’t carry a tune in a bucket. Good luck tracking your friend down, though!"
Ah, I’m having the same problem with my writing too! Grrr! Fickle muses! I’ve got so many stories on the go at the moment, four comment prizes that I really want to finish but I’m having a hard time with the muses ... they just don’t want to stick with one story! It seems like as soon as I get into a bind in one story they decide to leave it and jump to the next story. I’ve got the sixth chapter of Desert Rose and the third chapter of Yshira started but they keep on jumping around on me and leaving them! Grrr!
Ooo, but I see you have a new story up! I’ll definitely have to come and take a look once I get my muses in order and finish off the last two things for this ticket. I don’t know what they’re going to be but I’m determined that one of them is going to be chapter 3 for Yshira ... I’ve got to get at least one new piece on this ticket! Everything else so far is just more editing on old pieces.
Ooo, pirate project! I’ll have to go take a look at the outline for that one again. Maybe it’ll get the muses going! I’ve already got a pirate story that I wrote a long while ago ... two years at least, so maybe I can use the bones of that one and make it new ... since it doesn’t really have any fantasy elements that would put it on elfwood.
[comes dancing through] Miracle of miracles, I have updates of Desert Rose! Whoo! I think it’s finally happened, my muses have finally bucked up and are motivated for DR again! Well, there’s only six chapters left, so they’d better be! I want to get this thing finished so that I can start editing it!
I’m also excited because I’ve made some progress on a comment prize I’ve had on the back burner for quite a few months now. It’s turning out to be a lot longer than I’d anticipated, which is taking its toll. There are so many little details cropping up in it ... more to do with relationship development between friends than toward the actual end of the story that it’s frustrating me but it just keeps coming out of my pen onto the paper. And I’ve also finally started on the idea I had for a pirate story for tHP!!! Go me! It’s been ... oh, I don’t know how many months ... or maybe over a year, since I last submitted a project. I feel horrible about that! So even though the deadline is long passed, I am absolutely determined that I’m going to finish this pirates short story ... though it may not be so short by the time I get through with it. But I think I had better stop there or else this note itself could rival a novel! Many hugs, hope you’re doing great, the job is working out, and that writing is as productive as possible! ... sadly, I’ve been cut off ... more to follow!
..... okay, that was really weird .... this is the first part of the comment below ... and yet the second part showed up first .... computers do not like me!
[Is hoping that you’ll come back soon]
Well, I just had a big break through with DR, and I just had to come chat about it with someone, even if it’s only really talking about it with myself at this point. I’ve been struggling with finishing off the next chapter - this thing has gotten so big that it’s become quite intimidating. But this afternoon I decided to sit down and read some of the comments made on previous chapters. I’ve definitely been struggling with the inadequacy monster - making me feel that the storyline isn’t good enough to finish and isn’t interesting ... so I’ve been trying to think up of ways to spice it up .... and consequently, I’m in one of the climatic chapters so it’s a great place to be doing this! But anyway, I’m sitting here at ten minutes to 12am, pondering how I’m supposed to get from one of this chapter to the other when I don’t exactly know all that’s going to happen in the middle when a genius plot idea popped into my head. I can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner! And now I’m so excited to go and write it (even though I know I probably won’t get to it until tomorrow because I’m so tired at the moment) that I just had to share the good news. I’m so excited because I’ve finally got some elements that are going to make the readers so excited, thinking that things are finally going to start moving forward for Etain, Rhiannon, and Epona, and then frustrate the heck out of them! So excited to see how people take this next installment.
