SciFi and Fantasy Art: Beauty and the Beast

Shamir arched his serpent neck to gently nudge Eagle's shoulder with his cold muzzle. Softly, she placed a hand on his head, moving in to embrace him. The dragon closed his azure blue eyes, relaxing at her touch, but oh how he wished that he could hug her back, as a man.

(Shamir is my roleplay character, a man trapped in a dragon's body. The character Eagle belongs to elfwood writer Sarah-Jayne Briggs)

Personally I'd rather be a dragon than a human, but hey, that's just me I guess.
I love this picture, it's so full of emotion and feelings. It's also very well portrayed and definately deserves mod's choice.

:-) Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Thank you. The main reason why he doesn't want to be a dragon, is that he cannot speak, nor express emotions properly. It makes it difficult to have a relationship with another human being."

Great picture. Maybe a tear rolling quitely from Shamir's eye?

:-) Emma JC Nilsson replies: "I didn't put a tear in his eye, but if you see one, that is only good. =) Dragons can't cry, but he probably would if he was able to."

I can already picture the story in my head by looking at the description and picture. I can feel the strong relationship between the two characters. The dragon's hair and ear really impress me and this definately deserved the Mod's choice!
Also, I liked how it's titled "Beauty and the Beast," because it goes with the picture so well and that it's my only favorite Disney movie ever made. I wish I could read the story about the man trapped in a dragon's body. It sounds really interesting.

:-) Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Well, the story is being played even as I write this... and the scripts are being saved. (Over 300 pages! >_<12 Maybe one day, it'll be a book. =) Or not.

It makes me happy that the picture speaks to you! That means I did it right. ^^"

Beautiful. I tkindof makes me think of a book entitled The Song in the Silence since it is about a dragon and a young girl who fall in love with one another.

:-) Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Oh... I think I'll have to read that one!"

This reminds me of a movie maybe you've heard of it. Its called spirited away. By the way nice picture ^_^

:-) Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Yepp, I know of the movie and I love it too. =) The character design was inspired from that movie, but the character concept is from the char Prince in Lady Lovelylocks. Yes, really. =P I remember him being the first cartoon character I fell in love with. ^.^,"

Does she know he's really a human?

:-) Emma JC Nilsson replies: "In this picture, yes, she knows. Every night on the new moon he can take human shape, so they've met and talked a few times. When she first befriended him though, she didn't know."

Which ones which i love this picture but i hate when someone calls a dragon a beast we are the beasts oh well great picture (you dont see dragons ruining this planet) graet picture though

:-) Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Well, "beast" doesn't HAVE to mean "evil", does it? But I'll leave the desicsion of which is which up to the beholder."
