SciFi and Fantasy Art: Guardian

Darkuna are the lost souls of people who died without anyone to show them the way to a new life or the afterlife, either as punishment or simply because they were too far from anyone who'd know. They can no longer die, but they can't pass on, either, and their torment inspires them to ensure that no one ever suffers their fate again. They obsess over the dying and the dead, and often haunt hospitals, battlefields, and graveyards to shepherd the dead to their final location and ensure that their bodies aren't disturbed. Graverobbers beware. Mechanical pencil, then HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B pencils.

5 Nov 2004	Anonymous <boundandfall	Loading... This reminds me of the joseph vargo picture on his gothic tarot cards for the ace of swords. This is a nice pic.. But if it had a smoother tooth, it wouldn't look so grainy. I like your work.
14 Aug 2006	Brittish Babe	Loading... VERY NICE. I liked the creature's protective and warning pose. The detail is wondrous, and the wings give it the forlorn look that it should excess. Nice variety of shading as well. You are very grand with pencils!!!
