| 31 Mar 2004 | Wendy Bittnerová | He's just adorable! Reminds me of that dragon from the Disney movie "Pete's Dragon"...I think I'm going to color him in a "stained-glass" style and I'll send you a note when he's up in my gallery. I really love these guys! Brian L. Husted replies: "That will be fun to see. I'll make sure to put up a link here so that other people can enjoy it too." | |
| 2 Jun 2004 | Audrey S. Totire | Z is cute. I think he has the most character of all of them! Brian L. Husted replies: "Z is one of my very favorites. I love that little fang of his." | |
| 9 Aug 2004 | Sandra Marek | You did have waaaaaaay too much fun making those letters....But at least they're good drawings^^ the look best when colored tho, i think. *shrugs* but that's just me. =) Brian L. Husted replies: "I don’t mind at all that you think the letters look best when they are colored in. That means I’m doing something right since they are intended to be used for a coloring book! Eventually I’ll be replacing each of the black and white ones with color versions." | |
| 17 Aug 2004 | Miriam T. Strauss | OMG that's great! His face is just too...too...hmmm...well it's simply great!^^ Brian L. Husted replies: "It’s the fang, there is just something irresistible about a dragon with just one fang. Glad you like him." | |
| 31 Aug 2004 | Natasha Yvonne Booth | He is really cute. The twist of his tail is great. He looks really happy. What made you think of the idea of letter dragons? Brian L. Husted replies: "It all started with my ice dragon drawing (which is in my gallery). Several years ago I was showing some of my work to a friend of mine when her young son pointed out that my ice dragon looks like the letter "A". Later on that day I started sketching and figured out how to have dragons shaped like other letters. Gradually the designs evolved and I came up with sketches of all 26 letters. Now I have all but 5 done and those ones should be done within the next month or so. (I'll be putting them up in my Elfwood gallery as I get them colored)" | |
| 23 Jan 2005 | E. Torrens | Yep, there's definitely something appealing about the fang - it makes him look sweet and dopey. The twist in the tail is great too. Adding twists like that in all your dragon letters works so much better than just making the dragon the simple shape of the letter. Okay - that's phrased really badly but I'm sure you know what I mean! Brian L. Husted replies: "I always love adding the little touches like having the tails swoop around and curve. They are fun to draw and it makes it more of a challenge to try and come up with something that is a more complex shape." | |
| 12 Mar 2006 | Alice Baitelli | I really love how you can do dragons!!! I really like your gallery! Good Work!!! Brian L. Husted replies: "Thanks, I'm putting the finishing touches on the dragon letters series now. This one is going to turn blue and green. I'll be uploading them in the next few months." | |
| 4 Jul 2006 | Kim Schoonover (FreeBSD/i386 [moose] [ttyv5]) | Now *that* is a bendy dragon. O_O
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
| 28 Sep 2006 | Barbara J. Wickham | Dragon Yoga! Z is for Zen!
I love how you get all the dragon bits to go so bend-y and yet it still looks proportionate. It's like a celtic knot made out of play-doh!
