| 19 Jun 2004 | Jessica 'Jeste' Schreib | Thats so cute! It reminds me of a really old movie... can't think of the title in english.... but its really cute! Go you! Take Care Jeste Brian L. Husted replies: "A lot of times when I am trying to come up with a pose or expression for an image I try to think of things I may have seen in a cartoon, or an old movie (Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin). So it was nice to read your comment." | |
| 19 Jun 2004 | Leif Eriksson | Fun pic! =) I just love the color scheme for the cute dragon! Brian L. Husted replies: "Thanks, he was fun, I like how the colors turned out on him." | |
| 20 Jun 2004 | Elizabeth F Keimach | What a lovely sense of fun about this picture. I like your cartoon style! Brian L. Husted replies: "Thanks, I have been having a lot of fun lately coming up with my cartoony little dragons. I’m glad you like him." | |
| 17 Aug 2004 | Danielle *Cheetah Tamer* Fonseca | Haha This is really cute I like the espression on his face and the way you colored it was well done. Great job ^_^ Brian L. Husted replies: "I had a lot of fun coloring in this sketch. It wasn’t until I was done that I realized that the brush I was using was actually some form of image hose, all the texture is actually tiny little leaves. The shading on the rocks, the grass, even the clouds, is made up of tiny little leaf shapes. Ah well, I really like how it turned out and this small at this resolution you’d never know (except of course I just told you)." | |
| 11 Oct 2004 | Milla Lindqvist | I like the brushstroke-like lineart. I will now have to try drawing with one of my brush pens I like the bright colors, too. Brian L. Husted replies: "I have fun drawing with that sort of line work. Most of my quick sketches and drawings are done in that style. I would like to find a way to incorporate this same sort of spontaneous sketchy feel into my finished work, but haven't yet." | |
| 26 Jan 2005 | Gillian Carlson | OMG He is so cute!! I want him!! Brian L. Husted replies: "He he, maybe that's why he looks so nervous. I'm glad you like him." | |
| 31 Mar 2006 | Christina D. Folkers | OOoooh, he's so cuute! That expression is really well done, he looks so astonished and questioning. And, by the way, I liked the texture of the clouds and grass and was wondering how you did that *g* It's really that leaf-tool of photoshop? - I never would have guessed that!! ) Brian L. Husted replies: "I had a lot of fun doing this. I love to do wild gesture drawings, but most of the time I don't get a chance to develop them much beyond the sketch stage, so it was nice to go a step further for once." | |
| 21 Sep 2006 | Cassaundra Grace | I can definately see the illustrator in you with this piece. I can tell there has to be a story behind this little guy. Right now I am wondering how he ended up in the whole. Is his little brother biting his tail to make him make that face? Did he get lost in some caves and this was the exit? Anywho. I love this guy and the composition is great! Love it! | |
| 7 Feb 2008 | Barbara J. Wickham | With your sense of visual humor and artistic skills I should hope that I shall someday see your work published. *hint hint nudge nudge* With just a few strokes you have given this inquisitive dragon tons of personality. His expression is absolutely priceless! | |
| 24 Jul 2008 | Alannah Leigh Ogilvie | How cute! He certainly has personality! | |
