SciFi and Fantasy Art: Predators!

He is gathering those flowers to eat, not to decorate his house. They cook up into a tasty dish if you are a Cavian. He has just heard something suspicious in the bushes, though, and has frozen on the spot.

I like his ears, they are different from the way I usually draw them. Coloured pencil on cartridge paper.

Lindsay replies: "That’s exactly what they do, though - stop and freeze, then make a run for it. Have you ever noticed how little creatures move - scuttle, freeze, scuttle freeze. Because predator eyes are very sensitive to movement."
