SciFi and Fantasy Art: Faire"Welcome! Welcome to the Faire!" announced the large, cloak-draped man with a cane at the entrance to the grounds. Ushers were urging people through the gateway, though they hardly needed urging: the scents of roasted almonds, peanut brittle, candy clouds, spiced bread, and sweet ambrose mingled with the sounds of the market and tourney grounds. People came here from far and wide to see the latest heroes of the sword and jousting tournaments, as well as to watch demonstrations of exotic, far-east martial arts. Animals showings, peddlers, tattoo artists, and leatherworkers were also in abundance... They might be caught up by a sword-swallower, or a comedic puppet show. Especially, though, they came here to see the dragons. | |
