SciFi and Fantasy Art: May I have this dance? This took much time, but I think, I'll just draw a new version of it someday ... I guess you already noticed how lazy I am when it gets to draw a background, huh? It's Arcariel again, in official robe for festivities (which he really doesn't like!). It looks as if he was younger there ... I wonder, with whom he wants to dance. Actually, he likes to dance, but hasn't done it for ages. When there is something to celebrate in Hariat, he is mostly the one who knows he has representative duties (since he is not only warrior, but a lord as well), but is not very happy with that and therefore is bad mood incarnate. Done with pencils (2B, 3B, 6B, 9B, aquarell pencil)

Congratulation you enthused me *First comment * Romy N. Feddersen replies: "That you like the palms as well really confuses me. I am definitely not satisfied with the way they turned out. In my opinion they are a bit small, for example."
| 23 May 2006 | Alexa Galtman | Hes going to dance with me, cause of course i'm there what are you talking about. Anyway beautiful picture, pencils don't like me enough for me to even try that. Romy N. Feddersen replies: "But colours like you more than me (you might see that in my next upload). It's a real surprise to me that someone likes this picture, because I don't, especially since my boyfriend used a quite rough metaphor for the hair which were the only thing I thought it turned out at least o.k. - honestly? I almost ripped the drawing. Thank you (both) " | |
| 11 Aug 2006 | Isabella Hugel | That is very beautiful; the realism in your drawings are phenomenal. You have patience far beyond myself! I love the details in his clothing, and the hair is gorgeous. Just out of curiosity, do you use references, or is this all conceived through imagination? Any tips? xD Romy N. Feddersen replies: "Hey, thank you very much for your kind feedback. Well, I never use references for humans. There is enough "reference" material in my head, but it was a long way to learn anatomy and such basics. I still don't get the proportions as they should be sometimes. I guess, the most I learned by watching people.Hehe, when I have to draw hair, I get really obsessed ... I just love it." | |
| 18 Aug 2006 | Lea K Salminen | Ooooh, the hair! Fantastic! I love the pic in whole, but that hair is my favourite! Great job Romy N. Feddersen replies: "Thank you! " | |
| 17 Nov 2007 | Joelle Duran | I love the hair, and the details you put into his clothing. His hands look great, too! Romy N. Feddersen replies: "Thank you!Just today I thought about adding a background to this picture ... well ... we'll see " | |
