SciFi and Fantasy Art: Naocai
Aw, I like this character. Just ignore the shoulder, I know how weird it came out.
His full name is Naocai, and although he does not look like it, he's an angel as well. I call him Nao (and this has NOTHING to do with ANY Japanes musician, manga or whatever!) and his pseudonym is "Nao Kai Alisch".
To explain why he lives on earth and not in Hariat, I have to explain this city a bit more. There was a caste of courtesans and dancers, who should depend on masters and customers as much as possible, so they were not allowed to wear their wings. This is incredibly hard to take, especially since there were sects who experimented with wild angels (who didn't live in Hariat and were sometimes hybrids with other immortal species) to cut the wings off.
Nao was one of those wild angels, and not being of pure blood, he couldn't take off his wings - and he regulated loss of blood better than others. So he was (officially) the only one who didn't die without the wings. Arcariel found out what the members of the sect were doing, took his army and destroyed everything belonging to them, killed them all (including Naos parents) and decided to take Nao to earth. Arc thought, an angel without wings could have a better life there than in Hariat.
So Nao was raised as a human. His life was definitely not better than it could have been in Hariat, but he has a strong will, is still very energetic, he loves to travel, loves his friends, his cigarettes, coffee and motor bikes. He knows what he is and sometimes this gives him a hard time. In a very self-ironic mood he let someone make him a wing tattoo over his shoulders which he finds incredibly stupid and trashy, but he wouldn't want to remove it. Nao is very loyal and reliable, but you can have much fun with him.
Maybe he has still the chance to develop some magic, we'll see. At least he met Arcariel again and sometimes I think, driving this old grumpy angel crazy is his new hobby. Nevertheless, they somehow like and respekt each other.
