SciFi and Fantasy Art: Moon Elf

After my little fit of inadequacy RavenScarlett came over, and I remembered I had some soft pastels and pastel paper lying around, so we decided to both try it out.

My main reason being that I knew I was good with charcoal, and they seemed like the closest thing to charcoals in colour.

Anyway, this is the result of about two hours of my first ever attempt with soft pastels.

It is a moon elf (the high elf of the Forgotten Realms D&D campaign setting)

And yes, I know there are some issues here, like the skewed eye on the right. I didn't notice it until I was a bit far into the process to fix it, so I'll just resolve to pay more attention next time.

I have to say that moon elves are not blue, thou... Their skin has a blue hint, and they are pale and ethereal... But not this blue. Heh! But I’m just being picky in here. If not for the fact that elves are more resistant to natural coldness, I’d even say this girl spent too much time outdoors at the Sine of the World. Matthew W. Gonzales replies: "NWN2 is an official d&d/fr production, which includes many very blue skin tones for moon elves, and when I say blue, I mean blue. Being as that the game is an officially licensed and approved product of WotC, and the blue skin tones actually make up the majority of those available for selection, I’ll maintain that blue is a possible skin tone for moon elves. "
