SciFi and Fantasy Art: Narade StatuePolymer clay statue of my elven druidess, Narade Zyrustana. Clothing made from various thin fabrics and plush for hide parts with latigo cord, hair is floss (craft floss, NOT the kind you brush your teeth with) with an actual stick for a walking stick, and actual beads and feathers in her hair. It was painted in acrylics. This is actually my second D&D statue, however, the first died when I realized it would just keep getting dustier as time went on, as I made the mistake of spray varnishing it instead of using acrylic spray coating. (for some reason the same varnish that protects against dust on paintings makes statues permanently sticky dust magnets, go figure) Anyway, I have to say despite a few close calls, I'm very happy with the way this turned out (especially proud of the face, fingernails, and tattoos. Hope you enjoy it! | |
