SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gandalf the White

This is how I think Gandalf would look. Wrinkled and weathered, but benevolent, with a youthful twinkle in his eyes. I believe I clocked 56 hours doing this picture, most of which was spent on his hair. I took inspiration from ancient china for his beard, the elves and native americans for his hairstyle, and a portrait of Jesus that I also painted in order to get a sense of quiet power.
