SciFi and Fantasy Art: Chrysaetos fightership

'Chrysaetos.' This is part of the latin name for a golden eagle. This is a drawing of one of the small, single-seater fighterships used in the Avaran space fleet.  The Avari, as their name suggests are an avian species and design vessels that reflect their appearance. The transparent wings of these ships can twist and flex like that of a bird's wing giving superior manoeverability in a planetary atmosphere as well as in space. These ships are also very light but strong despite their fragile appearence, and as a final weight saving measure, these ships do not have glass cockpits, instead they have a forcefield canopy, and the advantage of that is it can not be broken.

Very cool! I love the shapes of those ships; very elegant-looking and you can tell that they're reliable flyers just from the looks of them. lol!

I like the design. They look delicate, yet very fast. I wouldn't want one after me in a dogfight, though. :c)

1 Kimberly A. Taylor replies: "Thanks for visiting! These ships are lightweight and extremely agile; not surprising especially since that they belong to an alien, avian species, who are of course experts in the art. "
