SciFi and Fantasy Art: Prototype

A new approach in Corvidian ship design. This prototype is the first of the new so called, aviator vessels. The idea behind this was create a vessel of cruiser size and power, but with the manouevrability of a Valkyrie fighter, by utilizing a unique flexible wing design and manouvering thusters to mimic that of a birds wing, which is in many ways far superior to the rigid, fixed-wing aircraft. Since that the creators of these ships are avianoids,  it was possible to make the ships so that they could be piloted by the movements of the avian pilots's own wings in a special holo chamber on the bridge. If sucessful, these ships will be used by the Shadow Wing to replace the stealthships currently in use.

ships are photos that I took of models which i've made, backgroung created using Teragen.

Everything about this is great. The feel of action, the angle of the ship, the shadow on the water, and the background itself. Even without some motion blur, there's still a sense of speed going on here. Very cool!

Taylor replies: "thanks! this was my first attempt at a picture made using terragen- a must have program and surpringly it's not too hard to use either. the hardest part i had to do to make this picture was taking the photo of the ship model from that angle; i had to hang it from the ceiling to do it, and make sure the background was neutral to make cropping the image on the computer easier."

wow, I really like the silhouette on the water... Your knowledge of avian biology integrated into ship design is immense & interesting...
