SciFi and Fantasy Art: Shadow cruiser model

My latest creation, finished at last, a model of a corvidian shadow cruiser. This model is about 74cm in length, which took about three weeks to make, and is made from carboard box card covered with paper machie. The 'wings' and the 'mandibiles' which are parts of the ship's weapon systems are mounted on pivots so that they can be opened and closed. It also has small magnetic strips stuck onto the wings for extra wing attachments.

29 Mar 2008	Dave Cripps	Loading... Is that reptilian scaling effect on the body intentional or just a result of the paper mache? Either way it adds interest to the model. Kimberly A. Taylor replies: "yes, the ’scaling’ is intentional, it’s drawn on with gold gel pen to create a sort of organic look to the ship."

Taylor replies: "thanks. you’d certainally see it comming if it was real. in the novel i’m currently working on, this ship is about 25 kilometres in length- about the same size as the city destroyers in the film Inderpendance day."
