SciFi and Fantasy Art: Valkyrie model

I finally decided to give my old valkyrie model a makeover, underneath it's still the sam e model, except that now it's covered in papier mache. i've also thickened out the wings and gave it extra detail and a new cockpit.

This is a standard Corvidian space fighter, it's incredible agile an carries a punishing array of weapons consisting of four plasma launchers which can be made to fire plasma in rapid  pulses, as a concentrated beam or after a brief moment of charging, to fire a massive bolt of plasma energy. it also has mounted on undersides the main rear wings two electro-plamsa bolt launchers which fire out a target-seeking energy missile; missiles which are made entirely out of energy-no solid capsules/tubes etc which allows these ships to have unlimited firepower and makes them so lightweight.

the model is approx  30cm in length and is made from card and paper, covered with papier mache and painted with acrylic paint.

Looks very sleek and lethal. Love the engines too. The frame and presentation are even better, it looks like an advertisement for an aircraft building company’s offering. If you’ve ever seen ads for Lockheed or Boeing that’s what I’m referring to. This is a great series you’re doing.

:-) Kimberly A. Taylor replies: "thank you, my aim is to create if i can all the different ships of the shadow fleet."

Oops, sorry, those were electro-plasma bolt launchers, I thought those four tube-like structures were engines. The engines are the red triangles in the picture on the lower left.

:-) Kimberly A. Taylor replies: "yea, they are, its an easy mistake to make i must admit, even to myself, at a glance it’s sometimes a little hard to see which is the front and ’tail’ end of the ship since that either end is the same shape. "
