| 16 Jun 2007 | Kristal Stittle | Hey, I have 2 pieces of advice for you when it comes to building a portfolio. 1: Figure drawings are really good to have (by figure I mean people with hands, feet, and a head). They are possibly the most important thing you can have, especially if your trying to get into an art school (I'm in a media school so I squeaked by without, but my teachers put heavy emphasis on them). 2: I'm not sure what kind of program you'd be getting into but creativity really helps (being on here puts you or the right track ). They like to see something different, too much cliche stuff is attacking the art world so they're interested in fresh ideas and a different out look on things. Hope that helps you out a bit and good luck. | |
