SciFi and Fantasy Art: And the rain that falls ...

Let it rain, let it flood these paths and wash me away, to where it makes no difference who I am, or what the future holds

Done completely in Photoshop and Painter, which took me many hours and many days to complete, stretched over many weeks. Everything is handdone, and I just used a filter for the dragon and for the rain, because the latter is one thing I still can't do on my own :)
And no, I did not do the dragon all from my phantasy. Honestly, I do not know one serious artist who doesn't use references, really. Just a tip from me for those who think that everything must sprung from your imagination. (And yeah, it made a whole lot of fun creating that picture all on your own :))

8 Nov 2003	Sweething	Loading... I too use references for my pictures and now getting more into creating new characters of my own. Maybe one day I'll right a book with my characters or make short cartoons which I have no clue on how to do animation. Cant draw hands all that great.

Being a fellow 'computer from scratch' artist, I can symphasize. <br>Hmmm there was something else... the statement about using references, there's people who think you shouldn't?! <br>And LASTLY, then I promise to shut up, I absolutely and utterly adore the way the smoke is done, which is such a stupid thing in a picture to adore, but there, I do! It's totally GREAT!
4 Dec 2003	Angela-Yvonne Ziebolz	Loading... The dragon is great. Can't draw them for the life of me, so I really like seeing them, in the hope that I might manage to draw a decend one myself one day. Err, anyways. This is really good. Has a wonderfully sad atmosphere to it.
