SciFi and Fantasy Art: The gangThis is also pretty old. Leneke´s a bit different (aside from the fact that he hasn´t any wings in this picture, but i did that on purpose), and he´s a lot more dinosaurish than he is now. The other three haven´t changed much. I thought i´d put this up cuz i realised i liked how the dragon/dinosaur anatomy came out. Plus it gives an idea of how big Leneke is. I believe i haven´t introduced Encalion before. He´s Serin´s horse. Also Avalerik, Serin´s female wolf. | |

| 12 Sep 2006 | Katie | O-hhh...that's the dude's name! I wonder why i'm not surprised that I'm not the first person to tell you, lol... Yeah..bet it wasn't your intention *duh*. I mean, you didn't go out of your way to call him that My friend Jo wrote a novel and a LOT of people who read it said it was like Ella Enchanted...that really wasn't her intenion! Hmm...can't remember much about the movie, so I have no idea how the dude looked, except that that looks a little like his head. I bet he didn't have the little extention-thing on the back? Plus, wings... Laura Soret replies: "*wimp* he´s not that similar to aladar! please tell me there´s something different between the two besides the wings and the horns!! Google aladar and convince yourselves!!! *waaah*" | |
| 13 Sep 2006 | Katie | Me wimp or you wimp? *confused* Well, yeah, the head shape is just barely different, and Aladar's bigger, and more detailed. (As in, his skin has more texture) Laura Soret replies: "Waaah, sorry i meant *wimp* as in *whine* haha. And now, let me do it once again. *whines more*" | |
| 24 Sep 2006 | Hana Běťáková | Oh, I forgot... I once tried to comment on this and my computer was sooo lazy, that it refused to submit my comment. :-/ I haven't seen the film, so I really don't care whether Leneke is or isn't similar He's just nice, though really a bit dinosaurish. And the rest... I haven't heard about the animals yet! They're so nice... and it's really good to show how big/small they are, to show them all together. Laura Soret replies: "Stupid computer! *kicks computer and punches screen* Thanks! I thought i had talked about the animals, though it probably was in the rejected pictures. I could tell more if you want, maybe post something." | |
| 31 Jul 2007 | Arthur "Elite" Domino | I love the dragon's expression in this one, and I like the whole dinosauric (wonders if this is a word) approach, 's something I've never seen before. *is dragged away by himself before he lingers longer* Laura Soret replies: "Yeah it was something I usually went for before. About two years ago I decided it wasn´t as pretty and elegant as I actually wanted him to be. If you look at him now, he´s got dinosaur qualities still, but also feline, horse, and deer and who knows what else. Yey!!! He´s more mammal now, although not entirely. I should REALLY make that anatomy page of him!Thank you agaaaain!!! *is getting inspired*" | |
| 2 Jan 2008 | Kélen Nicole Quinn | OO cool picture Laura!... K, Laura Leneke is soooo much more different the Aladar... there might be the odd similarity here and there, but I've studied your pictures and Aladar, MAJOR differences! *nods head* Yes, I have absolutely no life But, anywho, cool idea... having all the characters together for comparison... *wonders what they're all looking at*... But yeah, coolioness Laura Soret replies: "what ARE they looking at? *ponders * Yes of course major differences, darnit!! Especially know that Leneke´s a lot more mammal-like. This version is too dragonish already. He´s changed soooo much, you have no idea. I should make more of this comparison thing, huh? I really like having them all together like a big happy family^^ Only they´re not entirely happy and ESPECIALLY not family... but hey, the love´s there! And by the way, why would a popular sofisticated "oh my god" blonde slut that goes to parties four nights a week have more life than you or me? We have MANY lifes!!! We´re nerds!!! We´re fans!!! WE!!! ARE!!! ARTIIIIIISTS!!!! *standing ovation to herself*" | |
