SciFi and Fantasy Art: Strokes of Fate

This was done to be the cover fo my first novel. It shows the surely worst day in the life of the elfgirl Linara. Dark elves had attacked her home and killed nearly everybody.
Now cover and story are ready and I just have to find a publisher. Believe me, that's going to be harder work than the writing and drawing process.

Wow, the cover makes me want to read the story! I love the fire, it's great! And the two people are well done. I did notice a few mistakes, like his right arm's elbow a little bit too shaded, it looks caved-in. But anyway, way better than I could do, so great job!

18 Manuela P. Forst replies: "Now, I hope some day you will be able to read it but jet there's much work to do on it and then I still have no one to publish it. It's not that easy writing on a book as just drawing a cover for it ;-)Thanks for the hint! I will have a second look at the ellbow but if the only problem is a shadow, that's much less wrong with it as I thought it could be."

Love this art! is your book available in english?

15 Manuela P. Forst replies: "Sorry, at this point it's available in no language. I will tell if it will be one day. At the moment it's just a couple of sheets at my desk."

Sounds strangley like the young elf Drizzt saves in a dark elf Raid and she spends the rest of her life seeking revenge against him. He is the hero and she is misguided and insanely hunts him til one day they meet and he must kill her else she kill him.

:-) Manuela P. Forst replies: "No, not at all! Actually, he is not Drizzt nor is he some other Drow from Menzoberranzan. (Understand that I would get great problems if I've used characters from Forgotten Realms for my own story.) And she has to much problems on her own, caused by that attack from the dark elves, that she could spend her life just hunting him. But, yes, they would meet again! But she wouldn't get a chance for killing him. Not jet."

All of your dark elf pictures especially with drizzt i like. I was just wondering even hoping that you would do a drawing of the great balor errtu. you know your own vision of what you think he would look like from the description in the salvatore series.

:-) Manuela P. Forst replies: "Errtu? Well, maybe one day."

I quite understand the publishing hardships. I'm an writer as well, and still have not found a publisher.

Try over at Double Dragon Publishing. They've got good people. THey took me! (AND they're ranked fairly well on the Preditors and Editors website)

3 Manuela P. Forst replies: "Thanks very much for the hint! I'll have a try. And gratulation for your publication! What's the title of your book?"
