SciFi and Fantasy Art: Foreigner

I've done this a couple of years ago. It was one of my first complex paintings. Well, I guess I'm better in human anatomy now! So please don't tell me, what is wrong here, I'm sure, I've already heard it bevore ;-)

Done on paper with watercolours.

An elf from a far away land rides through a cave somewhere in a stormy dessert. Strange creatures stare at the intruder.

Wow...this is fantastic! :| I could never do something like this with watercolour! I love the swamp, and the horse's head looks really nice! You obviously put a lot of effort into this picture, and it has paid off!

Wow this is amazing. I love the coloring and detail of the swamp. If there was one thing to change it would be the proportions of the horse and elf. But keep up the great work!

:-) Manuela P. Forst replies: "Thank you very much! This was one of my first bigger works and proportions where not mine at that time. I hope I could improve this and will improve it with every drawing I will do in future days."

I love how the cave walls are drawn - they look like they were liquid that has gone hard, like lava or something. She doesnot look scared at all. The colour scheme is also nice.

:-) Manuela P. Forst replies: "Thank you for your comment! Maybe the creatures on the ground are those who are scared because of the big horse disturbing them in their cave."

Just trying to be constructive-please don't get mad at me,I'm just trying to help. Some things I noticed that seem wrong is the horses neck(seems a little too short),Lower leg of woman(her knee and lower leg seem to small, foot seems a bit small too),Arms(are kind of thin) and her face(it's done okay, nothing really wrong with where things should be but it's hard to see where her nose is). Otherwise, very good job. (plus I'm just trying to give constructive criticism.)

:-) Manuela P. Forst replies: "Constructive criticism will always be welcome at my gallery. Many thanks!"

I love the horse or animal thats shes riding and all the strange monsters surrounding her. The person is good but I think maybe the proportions arnt quite right-or something- People are always difficult to drawn anyway....great job!

This is a neat concept. I really like the horse's headgear, and the color scheme was well done. It's got a really surrealistic feel to it. ^_^
