SciFi and Fantasy Art: Drizzt vs Errtu

Acrylics on paper
inspired by characters from R.A. Salvatore

Someone here in Elfwood once asked me, why not doing a pic with those two fighting. Well, yes. Why not? So here it is. I used it to practice motion and painting with acrylics - being quite happy with the result. First I wanted to add those runes, Drizzt painted on the ground bevore calling the Tanar'Ri. But I was that happy to finish this sandy thing I call a ground, I forgot about the runes.

It is very dynamic and catches the heart of the fighting scene - I’ve read the book. But I must say that it is true. Errtu here looks quite like the Balrog, but to me it’s not so important. All in all it’s a fine piece of work!

very nice....I love the colors....Drizzt happens to be one of my favorites, and with this one, you managed to catch the grace and fluidity of motion, very nice
