SciFi and Fantasy Art: Aphrodite: goddess of love and fertility

This is the Greek version of this goddess, also known as Venus by the Romans. I thought she looked blonde even though I would imagine that pure Greeks probably aren't. But I like the way she turned out. It was also my first attempt at backgrounds. Not bad for the first time. August 2006. 8"x10" watercolor on 140lb. coldpress paper.
