SciFi and Fantasy Art: Magdelena

This is my first sort of dark faerie. I've seen so many dark faeries that I decided that I needed to make one for myself. I also felt that she should be sitting on something, because that's what the pose was, so naturally I thought a grave would look great. I'm not sure she would really sit there though, because if the relative of the deceased ever found out, they would probably get very angry. All the same, I like it. The only thing I don't like is that the scanner made my picture more blue than it was originally gray. Oh well! By the way, Magdelena is the middle name of my great grandmother. I've always loved it. It suited her better than her first name.

14"X17" watercolor on watercolor paper.

Nice work for the first try. It seems that the dark and the good are mixed inside her. And again you did very good job with the colours. One thing though, something about her shoes seems to be wrong, but it may be only me. Anyway, this is very good job!

That's okay2! It just reminded me that that word is not well seen in the states sometimes, well, according to my own experiences2! I live in switzerland2! Where about you?

62 Sarah J Hartzell replies: "Germany. I've learned some interesting phrases that Germans use that are really different from the American useage. But we do the same thing too, yeah? Wicked!"

I don't mean special as a negative word!!! In europe it's often used for, hm, unique? She's got her own character, her dress is very creative and something that not every fairy has got, her hair is a colour you don't see much around and her boots look velvet and stylish - something also not seen much around here. And her look in her eyes shows that she is proud2! You know what i mean2?

62 Sarah J Hartzell replies: "  Thanks, and I seriously was just kidding!"

Wow! That is cool. I love her outfit, and pose, and the intriguing style this one is in. ^____^
