| 4 Nov 2006 | Steph Salt | Very nice detail in this, I love the distant curve of the planet, it makes the mound and the flies seem to be really massive. | |
| 16 Aug 2007 | John R Farley Jr | The orange is deceptive isn't it? Since we all know that Mars is brutally cold even in the sun. Great picture of the surface of Mars. Shelz Keast replies: "I always thought that I hadn't put enough detail into the planet's surface. I think this was the last one done with a mouse..." | |
| 16 Dec 2007 | J. “Jamberry“ Meyers | Wow... I really love the feeling of this, the colors and the sheer expanse. It's not extremely detailed, but sometimes that's even better than a supremely detailed piece, especially concerning landscapes. It really gives the viewer a sense of scale. Lovely piece. Shelz Keast replies: "Wow... Thanks for such an apreciative comment. Go out into the Australian outback and there is a whole lot of nothing with no detail." | |
| 20 Mar 2008 | Stephanie S. K. Marbach | the colours, again, look absolutely fantastic...!!! | |
| 10 May 2008 | Elsa R. Oakley | MARS! Yay, my most favourite planet (besides Earth, of course). If only they could find life on the planet, it would be so exciting. I am patiently awaiting the day when Spirit and Opportunity pick up some signs... Shelz Keast replies: "There might have *been* life on Mars, but it’s died out. Though I have heard something about trace amounts of methane being found in the atmosphere. Methane being a short lived chemical normally produced by living organisms (I think there are a couple of other ways it can occur naturally though). So there could well be micro-organisms under the Martian surface." | |
