Here's a brief summery: 18, going to Uni, studying archeaolgy/anthropology (with a bit of German and Latian thrown in). This should translate to less time drawing (doesn't seem that way at the moment) and very small chance of pencil works being uploaded (yet to find a scnaner). Most of the new stuff will be digital using either photoshop elements or deep paint. I do hope, someday, to be a 'proper' fantasy artist. Thinking realistically, it will prbably remain a mere hoby. Comments are most welcome, especially any constructive criticism. I'm always trying to improve . If you do comment and have a gallery of your own, I always make sure to repay your effort and take a visit. Please don't use my art without asking first (that's if anyone actually want's to use it). Exception: You needn't ask if it's for an Elfwood tour (but it is nice for me to know, then I can pay the tour a visit). I also have a tour called 'Australasians of the woods' for Australian and New Zealand elfwood artists. If you fall into one of those categories, metion it when you comment and I'll include one of your pictures in the tour. NB: the world map *might* be accurate to within a 1000 or so kilometers- I'm not sure on my exact location having recetnly moved to Uni. It can stay that way.
Interests Art, Archeology, playing piano (esp. music from the Final Fantasy games) Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Movies and TV Shows Stargate, Doctor Who, Laputa, Matrix, The Ring (Japanese versions). Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Books The Pearl Saga (Eric Lustbader), Eragon, Keys to the Kingdom series (Garth Nix), The Discworld books, War of the Worlds Favorite Music Meh...too much variety. Songs I'll listen to range from Ramstein (German death metal) to Final Fantasy music to clasical guitar or piano to Beetles to techno to ACDC (old Aussie rock band) to various others. I think I have some jazz and ragtime in there too. Ones I don't listen to are rap, r'n'b and country. |

| 14 Apr 2008 | Jo Spargo | Hey Shelz - lovely gallery. I like your drawings and cartoons best - very original. Oh yes, also from Australia - Adelaide Shelz Keast replies: "Go Australia! One of your pic might find it’s way into the "Australiasians of the woods" tour. Whenever it next gets updated." | |
| 14 Apr 2008 | Ryelle Sophia Hill | Yeah, I’m just a freak about spelling-whats that? I think I see some misspelled words in the Fan Art section! Gotta go!

| 5 May 2008 | Jeanette M. chanyi | thanks for stopping by at my gallery. Your gallery has allot of great peices in it. So many things to look at. Shelz Keast replies: "Thanks, shame I want to ’cull’ some of them. I think it’s getting a bit cluttered." | |
| 6 May 2008 | Katie "FireBird" Wakelin | I really love your pictures of the planets. You are very good at sci-fi. I particularly like the Mars pics and the Pluto one. I love the way you use the computer. I must have a look at Deep Paint. I find my tablet way harder than the mouse, but that might be because it’s too small. Seeing as you are reasonably new to it, can you tell me how you found yours at first? How big is it? Etc. Any info greatfully accepted!
P.S. I certainly know who to come for if I ever need to know more about the planets! Great stuff! ^-^ Shelz Keast replies: "My tablet’s a Wacom Intuos 3 (21x 15cm of active area which can be drawn on). It’s not the largest, but then not the smallest. Tablets do take a bit of getting used to, I think it was a few months before I had it mostly worked out. They are better than mouses, they put less strain on the wrist because it’s a more natural movement for drawing (though I still use a regular mouse for general web surfing and other computor uses) and they are pressure sensitive. This mean’s you’re not constanly changing brush and opacity values (as much).
Deep Paint is a lot of fun. It was given to me something like 4 years ago so I don’t remember things like pricing and availablility.
On the subject of planets: I hope to have a picture of Quaoar a possible dwarf planet done by June/July. The other planet pictures are actually about 2 years old now." | |
| 6 May 2008 | Katie "FireBird" Wakelin | Have you read Larklight by Philip Reeve? Only that is one of the greatest funny sci-fis I have ever read. He is a great author. Shelz Keast replies: "Haven’t heard of that. Currently reading "The Praxis" by W. Williams. It’s classed as a ’space drama’ (according to the blurb) and not a bad buy for $1." | |
| 17 May 2008 | Rocio_del_alba *eskarina* Melendo | thanks for your comment! I like a lot "elemental evolution" so bright!!!I think it is very original, and all that colour is...fantastic! Shelz Keast replies: "Thanks, I’m glad you like it so much." | |
