SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Fly

The night air was heavy with the smell of fetid rubbish. I heard a rustling from outside. Cautiously I pulled bakc the curtian. Nothing stirred in the inky blackness. For the moment I relaxed.

Then it came again.

Slurp....slurp....slurp!

I chekced again. Still nothing moved outside. Then I looked down. There was a pool of slimy liquid. I flet somthing cold and wet hit my back........

We were told they had mutated from common house flies. The flies had grown large from our refuse.

Moral: don't dump your responsibilities. Clean up your own rubbish! There is also a skeleton to be found in the picture, it's reasonably well hidden. Pen and ink.

So particular, so strange... Great work.

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Thanks, haven't done much for a few months so this aught to make up for that."

Yeah! *first comment dance* this is sooo much detail i can hardly believe that a human drew this!

1 Shelz Keast replies: "Funny you should say that. One of my friends commented that they would go insanse doing all the dots, if they weren't already so! (Don't worry they're not *actually* insane)"

Neat! Gory though... I do like the compostion a lot. The clarity of the moon really sets of the texture of the fly.

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Initially the 'moon' was going to be a fly swat. I came up with the idea and composition of the picture whilst taking a break from studying for a biology exam. That may explain the goryness of the picutre."
