SciFi and Fantasy Art: Bird fairies

A random sketch on the computor that resulted in a rather surprised looking toucan. I thought : what could make somthing look so astonised? The answer: the avian equivelant of fairies!

 

The facts of the picutre: Toucans are south American birds and eat mainly fruit. They have an equivalent in Asia, the hornbills. The fairy birds are based on kingfishers, hummingbirds and swallows/swifts. I was sort of in a bird brained phase.

Ou, that’s cool! I love the bird fairies and the toucan’s colors! XD I like the branch too! I love branches for some reason. LOL XD

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Those colours are actually fairly true to life. I did a sketch of the bird based on a photo and then a few days later started doodling in photoshop and produced this picture. It’s a fluke it turned out at all well, my computor doodles tend to be rubbish."

that tucan looks a bit spooky... and the humming birds look great glowing, remind me a bit of ghosts... yeah, this is a nice spooky picture...2!
