SciFi and Fantasy Art: Wormhole

The Terra Nova entres the wormhole in pursuit of the Nar Pur Hab spacestation. What lies in and beyond the wormhole is unknown.

Another picture based on the book "The Shattered Sphere" by Roger McBride Allen. Found after reviewing backup files. It's desinged as a wraparound cover for the book and was, again, part of a school project. The creatures on the upper left are meant to be the Charonians or the Adversary (they are different beings, but either one fits) and the more familiar technology in the fore-ground has 'bled' from the human's past.

Not your everyday wormhole with a hole in the middle. I like the way you made the horizon distorted instead with everything being pulled into it.

1 Shelz Keast replies: "I was having fun with this picture. I think I chose the distortion because it was different, fitted the composition better and was fairly accurate to the book's description."

It's like an ocean in space... so cool.

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Well the book did mention a blue colour, it think."

Woh! This is...er...so cool but very strange! I LOVE IT!!!

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "It’s a wormhole- something that has not been definitively proven to exist. It makes perfect sense that they should be strange."
