Spring 2003 - Cut-out - 92cm x 38cm

Originally this was a parting gift for a friend that I did in white crayons on black paper. But after having finished it (and given to him) I redid the picture, this time as a cut-out. I still liked the picture but I also wanted to do something new. Well, I did no cut out since kindergarten, I guess...

I love the intense, dynamic use of positive and negative space and tone.. the shapes within the white of the moon, breaking out with the shapes that form the wings and tail...
