SciFi and Fantasy Art: For The Songgryphons

You know the short film 'For The Birds' from Pixar studios? ^_^ That says it all. And of course my new fable of drawing songgryphons mixed with my rather old fascination about fantasy creatures sitting on high voltage lines.
So that's the result: One small part of a flock of field songgryphons, the most common songgryphon species around here, gathering for their flight south. The three fellows to the left are mountain songgryphons though, daintyer and with shorter tails than their relatives. Those three must already have come quite some way. They use to nest in northern Scandinavia.
