| 15 May 2003 | Tsara | You so lucky! we dun get dragons here in this O-town. Man, if my dog saw that she'd be all balistic! Great coloring job- I still don't believe those are crayons. Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "Hehe, Thanks so much! Well, My dog just went on looking for mice... Maybe he imagined that he'd never be able to catch that flying thing up there... ;-)" | |
| 9 Jun 2003 | Brittani Nicole Hinman | neat perspective! Hee hee! Can I take the stray dragon home with me? I'll take care of him, I promise! Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "*g* Oh you can bet, if that was possible... I mean to catch that guy and to take him home, I would have done it right away! But as things are I could do nothing else than draw him... ;-)" | |
| 1 Aug 2003 | Darkryll | How did your dog react? My cats would have gone crazy... Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "*lol* Not interested at all, as I remember. He was hunting mice. I guess he just thought: "Don't mess with a dragon, it's bigger and stronger and it can fly away anyway." ;-)" | |
| 15 Oct 2003 | Nienke A. Blom | Cool..... My dog once stood barkin up such a thing, and I really had no idea why. maybe she saw something like this, I didn't see... Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "Uuuuhh. Gives you shiver's doesn't it? Cool. Thanks Nienke!" | |
| 21 Oct 2003 | Sam 'Zephyri' Hogg | I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you on the Last Unicorn thingy... but very respectfully of course! This is so unusual, the angle, the perspective, the composition! It's great piece of work, that makes you look twice and then leaves you with something to think about. Not that the unicorn one doesn't, but I think over all this is a stronger image, though the idea behind the last unicorn is more dramatic. I also think your execution of this picture is better. Eh, I guess what I'm trying to say is, heck, I really like this picture! Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "Thank you Sam! Well, tastes are different. Maybe it's just the stronger idea behind "The last unicorn" that makes me like it more than this one. (It's just a small "more" though. ;-))" | |
| 9 Dec 2003 | Ruth 'Annoyed Rabbit' Caswell | wow! so incredibly cool! the dragon has such majesty- there's some depth and element of lighting ( i think it's the luminous sky) that isn't present in "The LAst Unicorn". Not that i don't like that one.... just this is spectacular..... Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "I guess it's just a matter of taste. And I admit that the picture quality of this one here is better, in The Last Unicorn you can see so many lights and shadows of the wavy paper." | |
| 14 Jan 2004 | Elf ranger | Yup, it's me again... Just wandered back to look at the rest of your stuff. I love this one, mixing old and new things together, very, very clever... Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "Thank you. I like to do that. I did it far too seldom the last time. Too much cuteness... *g*" | |

| 22 Apr 2006 | Dying Messenger | You did a great job of showing that tower's hight, and how it fades up into the sky. I also love the dragon sitting up on one of the arms of the tower. His position and sizing is perfect!! This is the kind of stuff I see all the time because I'm so short =b Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "*lol* Me, too I'm quite short. We always get an impressive perspective at all things, eh?" | |
