SciFi and Fantasy Art: Cave painting practice II

March 2004 - Oil paint and chalk pastels - 50cm x 64cm

The second 'showable' practice piece of my cave painting series. It has turned out a bit too dark, but I think I improved a lot since I uploaded my first dragon cave-painting here.

Still I would appreciate any further tips how to make it look more like a real cave painting. Thanks to everyone who already helped me! :)

Look at the next one of this series, not as dark this time! ;-)

Wow! This one is more realistic but the other one was great too. Continue and you will be great at this art ^^. The practice is the best way 12.

Though I'm afraid I'm practicing more on my own new style that's looking a bit cave painting-ish than on any of the original cave painting styles. My sister told me so right away from my first attempt. *lol* But I won't give up. Self discipline now!"
