SciFi and Fantasy Art: Songgryphon's dreams

December 2003 - Oil paint - 50cm x 39cm

This is a chistmas gift for my best friend. She saw my songgryphons once and said she would like such a picture in her sleeping room. I remembered! ^.^
So what kind of picture fits into a sleeping room? Sleeping songgryphons of course!
These are tiger songgryphons, too btw. Those come in great variation of colour.

This motive is available at Ellen Million Graphics.

OwwwH it is so cute. But I wonder: Are you owned by a cat?

12 Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "I guess yes. I guess you could say the same about almost anyone who thinks he "owns" a cat. Cats rule! ... and I mean litarally. ;-)"

Oh my god that is so cute. It looks so much like my sisters cat sleeping... Belly up.*scratches the little guys tummy*

2 Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "It's modelled on a sleeping cat. I am a great fan of cats. 2"

These little guys are soo amazingly cute that i wished i owned one of my own! I love the lighting and how youve drawn one of them all spread out and the other on its side all curled up. Very nice picture!

2 Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "Thank you very much Mr. or Mrs. X!"

Oooooh!!! soooo purty! I love the lighting it makes the songgryphons look so fuzzy. I just want to reach right out and touch them. The one thing i want it to see one of these beautiful little beasts in flight! That would just make my day. All praise to you oh master of songgryphons.

2 Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "Indeed, I haven't drawn any songgryphon in flight yet! Maybe I'll do some day. I should. Thank you for the nice comment! "

Cute! I love your little songgriffons. They remind me of something that you'd almost half expect to see while out walking one day in the woods, or even down the street to the bus-stop or something. After looking at these little songgriffons, you'd expect to see one or more of these adorable little creatures sitting on a branch staring at you and wondering what your next move will be. =b
I love them.

:-) Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "Thank you very much, that's a real compliment! 2"

Aww this is very cute! It looks like a kitty bear thing with wings. I also like you creative idea with the cd rom and the dragons.

:-) Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "Many thanks to you and sorry for the late reply! Bears were not meant to be in the mixture, but well, those kitty-birdies have some fluffy round tommies, don't they?"

Woe its great. And totally adorable.
But honestly except for the pose and the tail it does not look at all like a cat. Its totally obvious that its a sea ottergryphon! =D

1 Esther S. Brendel (Maiden name: Esther S. Wetzel) replies: "*lol* Thanks so much! I'll have a sincere look at it to determine if they are really sea otter gryphons. ;-)"
