SciFi and Fantasy Art: Athena

Athena, dreamt in the morning, drawn in the evening… I’m happy with her, even though my actual picture of athena still remains like athena from "saint seya", with the long purple hair i always dreamt having myself one day, too;-). i left her the long hair and the white robe here though.

pencil on office paper. (2003)

Her stance and the way her chin is slightly tilted up makes her look defiant. Well done.

I love the strong presence she conveys. I'm also pleased with your decision to maintain a greecian look as Athena was a Greek God.

13 Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "thanks for the nice comment2! yeah, greek looks are very impressive i feel. i initially wanted to do a toga but since i'm not good in shading i just made it in a more simple way...;-)"

My Grandfather named our sail-boat 'Athena' and it's really nice to finally see a picture that fits the her. (If you can't tell, she's has gone through quite a bit. The motor is on the bottom of a lake =), so, thank you for giving our boat an image that fits her.

Keep it up!

She looks very noble and serene. I especially like her helmet, and the way you’ve drawn her hair.
