SciFi and Fantasy Art: Double click

when i first heard the piano version of infected mushroom's song 'double click', this is what came up in my head: the soft piano tunes where an innocent, beautiful creature, which turned out to be a pegasus in my picture. the growns on the background reminded me of a monster, here a sea dragon. i felt a tention in the air which i put down as both of the creatures standing in front of each other, like before a battle of the good and the evil forces. all the other sound effects made me think of a wild ocean and a dark sky. actually there are also some lightnings in the picture on the background but you can't see them here in this bad scan.

the picture is on a A3 sheet of paper which i photographed and scanned afterwards. could have done better, but i just wanted to get done with it as soon as i could to take a look at it while hearing the song and see what effect it may have... it turned out just like i wanted:)

acrylics. (2001)

I don't know the song, but it looks very good. Especially the water and the sky, it really looks stormy! The sea monster doesn't look so evil, I think, just big and sea-creaturish. Looks can decieve...

Very nice piece of art. I love they way it looks like its about to rain, or even thunder. I can keep looking at that picture for ever, its really catching.

3 Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "wooooooooow, mette, thanks so much for your wonderful comment...2!!! yeah actually there are thunders on the picture, but it just doesn't show on the pic on the computer since i didn't scan the picture but photographed it and that way quite some details get lost... maybe i should try to scan it, now that i actually have a scanner and photoshop, just have to figure out how to put the pieces together...2! thanks again2!!!"
