SciFi and Fantasy Art: Fallen star

i don't quite remember how the idea of this one started, but it's a faerie that's got a star, and while playing with it it fell down that ravine never to be found again... hm... don't ask me how a small faerie can get such a big star, but yeah, i mean, we're in the world of faerie tales, so... *g*:)!

i somehow feel that there should be something on the other side of the ravine, but i'm not quite sure of my idea yet... would like to see what you think;-) so, hm?!

coloured pencils and markers on blue sheet. (2005)

I don't want to be silly, but this kinda reminds me of an old jump n run game. SO on the other side there should perhaps be a tube leading underground to get the star back, guarded by some weird subterranean mushroom people? 12 *makes psychedelic computer noises*

I really like this. Blue and black make such a nice combination, I just love the twilight feeling they evoke. I think it’s wonderful how such a simple piece of artwork can have so much to tell - so I’d say it doesn’t need anything added to it.

:-) Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "wow, thanks jasmin for your lovely words! yeah, i love that part of the morning also, the madrugada, when the sky’s got just that same colour and everything is about to wake up... magical... thanks for your time2!"
