SciFi and Fantasy Art: Pridei'm trying to find characters for a set of pictures to personificate feelings. she is the personification of pride, in all her beauty. proud look, her head upwards, and the peacock feathers - feathers of a very proud and beautiful animal. that made her the perfect character for that word:)! now i don't mean pride in a bad sense here, but in a good way, when pride is something waiting for you at the end of a hard road when you reached your goal. pride is also a common fellow in many many fairy tales around the world. slightly added contrast to it with photoshop. (2006) (photograph is taken by me, the person on the picture is andrea. i have both permissions to use it.)

The peacock feathers are so beautiful, and they fit the idea so well. *applause* Stephanie S. K. | 28 Dec 2007 | Shiri Rae Kc_Burdette | She looks like hera or a priestess to hera... Seems you captured the best light of the day. Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "really? thanks shiri for your lovely comment ! i’m so happy with the picture, too! yeah, it was done on a beauuuutiful summers’ evening with the last light... it was amazing !"
| 28 Mar 2008 | Jasmin Islam | This is a nicely clean shot - the framing is perfect, and I like the composition. The only thing I would change is the position of the feathers - I don’t think Pride should let them cover her face like that. Still, a beautiful photo. Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "wow. i’ve never seen it the way you put it. you’re right, it makes it very odd if you think about it that way! when doing the shot i just thought that the playing around with the feathers in front of her face make her look a bit more "untouchable", no reaching for her in any way. very interesting, thank you jasmin for your time and comment !!!" | |
