SciFi and Fantasy Art: Young santabruja

the beautiful witch santabruja, in her young years, when she still had to study at the witches school to become a real witch:)! yeah, she had a real hard time studying there before she got her "diploma", or whatever the witches get for it;-). she just found out something really incredible in her old study book and can't believe what she's reading:)!!!

that set was sooo... much fun to do, we used all of this little extras from the whole family (so we stole my brothers' iron skull...;-) ). there are many many pictures of that set but i'll just have to find out how to work well with some photoshop program since i have no clue of it and just too many ideas flying around my head that i want to realize with the many pictures of that set.

(photograph taken by me, the person on the picture is sofia marbach, i have both permissions to use it. 2006)

update: august, 2008 - i really liked the suggestions i got in here, so i took out the picture again and worked on it with gimp. i tried to somehow capture a little bit more magic in there and i hope it worked out:)! people seemed to like it at the exhibition:)

*** exhibition at 'kunstmarkt zofingen', august 2008

An interesting photoshop edit would be to have a mystic light eminating from the book, or the skull, or the... well anything really. I like this pic too.

Welch coole Idee!

This photo looks like it was awesome fun to take! I'd love to do that sometime 14 But I don't think I have any such eager models 2

Lovely! ^_^ Though yes, if you want to add effects in photoshop, I recommend just playing around with everything 1 It is fine as it is I think, but you can add little touches for sure with photoshop 2

2 Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "thank you2!!! yeah, we had a blast doing this set2!!! i'm sure you'd find eager models if you tell them your ideas and ask them2!!! yeah thats the next step i'm planning, do something with photoshop to it and play around... thanks for the hint girl2!!!"

I like the crazy assortment of things on the table. Now the question is did you just happen to have it hanging about or did you have to collect it?

:-) Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "well, i collected it from all rooms of the house;-) the skull was my brothers, some stone’s belong to my mom and of course the table, book and candle and stuff, and the other odd knick knacks are from my fantasy desk where i put all sorts of natural things and fantasy related objects i collect through all my life2 i’m glad you like it2"
