SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lady of winter"I am the lady of winter, my cloak is wine, like the blood I see running out of my victims. Everything dies at my touch, wind and snow rises as I breath no one will survive me if I do not wish cold fights the sun, darkness the day I am the lady of the winter, it is my time to rise upon all of you - winter shall be" the oportunity to do a small winter photo set actually settled in very late this year;-) (crazy weather, really...). watching this particular picture the idea came up to do a set of the four season ladies, the queens of each season... let's see if i'll manage to bring out spring and summer this year;-). (photograph taken by my mother, the person on the picture is me, i have both permissions to use it. 2006) | |
 | | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 1 May 2006 | Enola | This is a beautiful photo, I especially like the contrast created by the red cape, somehow looks like Rotkäppchen in a more mature way ;-) Really like it! Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "hehe, thank you ! yeah, like a grown up rotkäppchen, lost in the snowy woods...;-) thanks for your comment !" | |
| 2 May 2006 | Casey Rae Vange | This is so cool! Its such a perfect opportunity for a photograph...beautiful--great job! Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "wow, thank you casey for your wonderful comment... ! *jumpsaround*" | |

| 27 Nov 2007 | Dave Cripps | Snow!!! Love it even if it is cold... This makes an interesting picture. *Bats the branches to make the snow fall * How about another version but tweaking the cloak a little to get it brighter? Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "hehe, yeah i love playing that kind of mean stuff;-)... what’s the meaning of tweaking? you mean go through it with photoshop? yeah, that could be interesting... i shall try it out... thanks for the idea and thanks for stopping by " | |
| 11 Dec 2007 | Janna Prosvirina | So beautiful! Love the way red cloak make a contrast to pale snow. Just gorgeous! You got a very beautiful model as well! ;-) Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "thank you janna for your kind words, i’m glad you like it !" | |
| 14 Dec 2007 | Wendy A. Lawson | I like the idea behind this piece... but I might have chosen to paint your face in soft, irridescent shades of white and silver or blue... and the cloak would be white or silver... so you’d seem to be made of wintery ice. Still... the pose and contrast are nice and I look forward to seeing your representation of the other seasons! Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "yeah actually an ice queen would be in silver blueish colours in my mind, too, but i only had that dark velvet cloak, so, i had to stick with that;-)... i thought though it would make a good contrast and maybe also characterize the cruelness (blood? death?) of the winter and give her a bit of a royal touch. i’m glad you like the idea ! i haven’t done the other seasons yet, still have to find the right person and background... thanks for stopping by !" | |
