again using the 'spoiled' colours of the kids... it was actually a boat in the beginning, but then it seemed more like the ferryman of the styx to me with his big cloak, so i just changed him. hm...:)

8 Mar 2007	Poornapoleon	Loading... THIS IS MY FAVOURITE! The generous division of the canvas divides the painting in a plain upper part with a straight horizontal grain that emulates with the goffering lower part. The pink of the upper part is slightly flaring up in the deep purple lower part which serves a lot for the balance of this composition. The lonely boat/ferry man in this imaginary cozy environment is responsible for the awkward temper of the picture. Warm colours, lot of space, sweet breeze - but no way! Don't trust a pink sky and you can feel the sea preparing the waves! YEAH!
