SciFi and Fantasy Art: Troto

this lil'fellow is based on a photomanipulation of a buddy of mine. he took his picture and played around with it so that it looked all phreaked. on a community site he also played a song along with it, a cute funny irish tune, so when looking at his picture for the first time i laughed out loud because that tune and that picture were just too perfect to make a lil' troll out of him:)! so i drew this here in a short while listening to that song over and over again. he's a weird lil' guy, but somehow cute:)! i called him "troto" since the name of the tune was that.

pencils. (2006)

Expression gives impression that he's had a bit tooooo much to drink at the party and is beginning to feel the effects of it.

I donīt know...
this picture somehow impressed me.
He is so cute, and he looks so happy in his little world, but I somehow feel sorry for him
I think this is a pic with a big soul
well done

2 Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "really?! wow, now you should tell me how come you feel sorry for him, it really interests me2!!! i wonder what made you feel this way out of his expression... thanks for your comment2!!!"

This is such a cheery drawing, it made me smile as soon as I saw it.... not your typical moody, broody male elf type... a happy being, at peace and as one with his world - nice pencil work - maXine 1

11 Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "thanks maxine2! yeah, he's pretty different than the rest of this crowd in here... thanks for your comment2!!!"

Sorry but I have to agree with above commenter. It's funny, don't get me wrong. . .I thought Elves could hold their liquor better than that.

12 Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "*LOL* don't worry about that2! well actually he's not quite an elfe, he's kind of like a troll or something...;-) thanks for your comment2!"

Well I donīt know... But I feel sorry for people, very often. Well, perhaps. ... His smile is so happy an I think he can be happy ībout so much in his life. A simple little flower can make him smile and I think there are so few humans who see the small thing in the world. The just run around, doing very important things, having no time to make a break and be happy because the cloud over there looks like a ship.
And I think Troto is someone, who can just sit there and admire the ants running on their own lil streets and doing their work.
I think people canīt understand these small thing and I think many canīt understand Troto and so I feel a bit sorry for him, because he likes all these so much and... well, you donīt have to understand this.

Being Troto myself, or at least, being the Troto's inspirational alter ego, I am really moved by all the heartful comments being found here. And also my laptop's camera, if it could see this picture, would melt to silicon in shame and admiration for the artist's strokes that captured that lil'fellow's soul so much better and more accurate than the camera's scientific eye, and be it even a MacBook Pro's one, ever could have dreamt of trying to achieve it.
