SciFi and Fantasy Art: Waiting for rescue

"oh fellow noble knight... when shall you be coming to rescue me?"

this picture actually got shot out of a joke. wearing my brandnew wonderful medieval gown we were posing around a castle at a medieval fair when we started to joke around and my friend made the shot. we still have a good laugh about it, it was so much fun...:)

so this is a poor medieval princess sitting all bored on top of her castle, waiting for her knight to come and rescue her... so corny, but i love it:)  elfwood asked me to explain  more about what is fantasy about this picture. i sometimes don't realize that i have evident pictures in my head that don't come across when i write them down:)! that princess wants to be "rescued" - that means,we were automatically thinking of her being kept by a dragon or an evil sorcerer, like in the many fairy  tales we know. the poor knights just ALWAYS have to go and kill some evil being in order to rescue the princess, so maybe she's waiting so much like shrek's princess;-). that was the main idea behind it.

I get the feeling that this princess doesn’t really need rescuing.

She looks like she could take care of herself. I would guess that she hasn’t just got a perfumed hankie in those pouches. She could walk out at any time and the poor dragon wouldn’t have a say in it. But maybe she likes to dream of a knight in armour fighting the dragon.

:-) Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "hm... lovely idea of something hidden besides a perfumed hankie, but no, she’s got no chance;-) maybe it’s the beautiful weather in the background that makes the picture look hm, "happy" in its own kind of way...2"

Excellent pose, very expressive. You are a fine model-cum-storyteller. 12

:-) Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "hehe - thanks jasmin for your supportive words2! i’m glad you like it;-) (ps: what’s a cum-storyteller? don’t know that jargon;-) )"
