during last christmas time i've learned quite a lot of new things about christmas celebrations in other countries. it was very interesting to share this all with the kids and with friends! one evening, a friend told us about a christmas troll that brought the presents in sweden i think it was (or norway, or finnland... i know it's all not the same, so, sorry nordish folks for that, but i really can't remember... :)! *blush*) so i giggled out loud and said to myself - i'll just HAVE to draw this lil' dude one day...:)!!! so, short time after i sat down and did this little fellow...
i'm aware that he doesn't look much like a troll but more like a goblin or such, but to me it was just the christmas troll from the nordic lands...;-)... he's actually not stealing a present like it seems on this, but he is just running away from a kid that tried to follow him when he suddenly realized that someone had brought the presents... but the troll was faster, and now he's looking back, grinning, and happy that, once more, he could make a kid happy and was not caught by doing so, so the legend of him could continue... yeah i love him:)! i'm quite proud of him even though i had some problems and there are several small mistakes on it (as always...)... but yeah...:)!

Trolls?! Me myself's a Nordic (or how to say it) and I've never heard of that tale... Don't want any troll around at Christmas, either... But perhaps the troll on your pic. It looks very nice! It could get some of my Christmas food... Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "ah i'm sure he'd LOVE your food...;-) really? hm... maybe the person who told me about it was wrong thank you for your comment!!!"
