SciFi and Fantasy Art: Unhappy

This is a drawing I did for Robyn Lee: http://www.elfwood.com/art/c/o/copperhead/copperhead.html

She was my hundredth commenter, and requested that I draw her a paint colored hippocampus in color. I did. I'm not sure she expected it to be all caged up, but whatever.

Since this is for her, she can comment an explanation of some sort.

I drew some people there at first but hated them so much that I did my best to get rid of them. You may still see their "spirits" hovering beneath layers of colored pencil.

hope you like it, Robyn!!! :D

He's darling! I wish I could let the poor fellow out.

:-) J. Thomason replies: "Yeah, but I don't think he's met his new owner yet... She'll take good care of him... (you will, won't you, Robyn????) lol..."

Heh, cute... I'd laugh evilly at it, but I think this isn't the proper time for that, so... eh, I like the tail.

:-) J. Thomason replies: "2 Thanks!!!!!!! I'm glad you ,like it... Oh, and I've figured out what you meant when you commented on my main page, I just hadn't seen this comment yet. That probably doesn't make sense... never mind then...Thanks for your kind words!"

I've been taking good care of him......if you look close, you might be able to see the slight beginnings of a smile.....not sure.......He's played with Setern and Lynsey's hippocamp.....hopefully, he's getting happier.

:-) J. Thomason replies: "Yes, he is... but he looks a litl hungry..."

this pic is so sad (crys) But im still in love with it!

:-) J. Thomason replies: "awww thanks! 2 glad you likey! Took me FOREVER figuring out what to do, and then erasing it. Especially since colored pencils don’t erase >.<"

Sad picture! I hate when people take animals from their homes and but them i so small cages. It’s horrible! Birds and orcas... They are ment to walk/swim/fly half around the world... Anyway i really like your picture. It tells us to be more caring about our world and that some creatures gets killed before we even know they exist. Thank you!

I love it and I actually like how you can just barely see the people you origionally drew... it gives it a ghostly charactoristic it wouldn’t otherwise have.
