SciFi and Fantasy Art: Killer

Soooo....

This is Storm, she is a unicorn, she sometimes controls the rain. But... her mind has been poisoned and now she is doing bad things!!! She just drowned a whole city (no that's not the ocean), and, as she comes to her right mind, she sees what she's done...

I can't blame my scanner for how light it is, although I wish I could. I just was not using a dark enough pencil. So maybe I'll darken it sometime... The sun is supposed to be setting. There is water spilling off the cliff she's standing on, and I had good intentions, but it looks stupid.

Also, if you look closely, you'll see that she wasn't the only survivor.

Wow.....this is great! And I don't see anything stupid about it. I like it. I guess I'm glad I don't have a scanner, though...with the problems that a lot of people have been having (judging by the talk 2 ). I'd probably through it out the window! Lol. Yes, I know...technology and violence don't make good bed-fellows...but sometimes, it has to be done. Lol. Although, a digital camera doesn't always do justice to the real thing, either. I do like this one, though...Great work.

:-) J. Thomason replies: "Oh thank you!!! I haven't tried a digital camera but I've got one, so I could try that out..."

Very cool. She looks poised to attack agin. I'd like ot see more of her. For some reason, she makes me think of 'The Bride' from 'Kill bill vol. 1'

:-) J. Thomason replies: "Oh... Her name is Storm, anyway... She is always black and white, even if her patterns vary. I started out with her as a black uni with white mane and tail but those were everywhere, and it didnt seem origional enough. She is sort of poised to attack but she is also recoiling as she sees what she's done. TY for commenting."

This is really nice, something very different and the story suits it perfectly. I love the sun setting. You really should darken it a little. It looks great12 Keep it up!!!!!!!!

:-) J. Thomason replies: "I was bored one day and started drawing. A little at a time I figured out what the heck happened, and I almost liked it! 10 TY for commenting, I love comments..."

Ooh, nice! I like the background story! ^^ And Storm's proportions and the shading and all that are really well done! ^^

:-) J. Thomason replies: "Thanks! I think this is my best non - reference pic but after that my anatomy went downhill for a small while..."

I love the water flowing off the clift, i would have never thought about that! and i love how she can control the rain!

:-) J. Thomason replies: "Thanks! Lol yeah it’s origional, but partway by accident. Usually I start a drawing by picking up my pencil and seeing where it takes me. If I plan it beforehand it ends up looking like it went through a blender ^-^"
