SciFi and Fantasy Art: Nightmare

This is actually a dream that one someone/something had. It really freaked them out. Why?

first of all, the unicorn has this cheesy smile that you can't really trust, and those little birds are kind of freaky too.

Also, the preportions are slightly tweaked, but I'm not sure how to fix them, and the background is grey and it's so weird...

It's also freaky because, in your dreams it doesn't really matter what's going on: You may be playing with rabbits and have a bad feeling, and so it is a nightmare, or you may be jumping off cliffs and sailing down, which is fun...

If you stare at it long enough you may hate it just as much as I do.

I think this is my favorite in your gallery. I love that you've given it a background. It just makes the whole image so much more lush. Backgrounds can be hard, I think (my gallery has almost none), but you've done a great job with this one.

:-) J. Thomason replies: "Thank you! ^^ I'm glad you like it so much. I just don't like the expression/anatomy/setting. And I will try to do more backgrounds in the future ^^"

I really like the shading on the horse, the background is nice as well, although maybe you could have detailed the tree a bit more? but all in all it's a really good drawing, backgrounds add sooooo much to the overall goodness of the pic. keep it up, will you 18

:-) J. Thomason replies: "I keep "practicing" but I haven't actually finished a picture (backgrounds8...) for um, a few days actually lol. I guess you're right about the tree. Yeah well I stink at trees, but i suppose i could make some sort of try...lol ^^ thanks for commentin!"

I dunno..........I've stared at it for a while now, and I don't hate it. I don't really see anything wrong with it, and the 'cheesy' smile? Seems more mysterious to me, rather than 'cheesy'. And I like the birds. It's all very well done!

:-) J. Thomason replies: ""mysterious smile"? Hmmmmm... I'll have to think about that one... lol ty for commenting!"

:-) J. Thomason replies: "hehe ok... I took a look and I like you art! 2 if you had already drawn a horse, though, it would've been a little easier... "
