SciFi and Fantasy Art: Reflecting

Could it be true? When she looked into the water she thought she saw a glimpse of wings, but no; ripples broke along the surface of the silvery pool and she sighed in despair. It had all been her imagination...or had it?

Nice composition here with the horse and its reflection. In particular, the fact that the reflection is less sharp than the horse itself.

Good job!

:-) J. Thomason replies: "thanks!!! I am glad you like it."

This is really nice; great job on the reflection. I think you could put a bit more work into the wings, though (perhaps try adding a rippling effect?). overall, this is a very nicely done piece.

:-) J. Thomason replies: "in the origional picture there was a lot more detail, but scanners really don't seem to care about that stuff ^^ lol, although I probably could have. Youre right though, the wings look more flat or something when compared to the rest of the pic. Thanks for commenting! If I can find this picture I may fix it up more."

I used to be a notorious daydreamer and it drove my teachers and parents crazy. Ha ha. Actually, I still fall into daydreams once in a while and this pic reminds me of that feeling. The way you drew it in soft tones and didn't fill the page with a bunch of busy details makes this a nice piece to stare at and, what else, daydream.

Very nice work!

:-) J. Thomason replies: "1 Thank you! It looks very simple (partly because of my scanner) and I guess if you like it it must have some quality *pats scanner on head* ...*realizes scanners don't have heads*... Anyway, I'm feelin random today so, um, TY for commenting! "
