SciFi and Fantasy Art: Night fairy

I wished to draw a night fairy, with moth wings, and a lantern on her hand. Don’t ask me how I get the idea of a fairy baby, I really don’t know ! But, now, you know where fairy babies are coming from... I know : the proportions of the arm handing the lantern are wrong. But, nevetheless, I like this picture, don’t you ?

The baby is really adorable, but I think his face is not the face of a baby, it seems much older(mainly because of the nose, I think). Anne Wipf replies: "I didn't noticed it but, enlarging the picture, I car see that you are probably right, even if I think that is is mostly due to the cheek (too thin) than to the nose which seems correct... Nevertheless, thank you for visiting and for your kind comments."

21 Jul 2008	Patricia M. D´Angelo	Loading... Simply beautiful. I even recognize the plant. It grows out on our back fence. Around here it’s called Virginia Creeper. I imagine it has other names. How do you do the little spots of sta light in your pictures? I love that effect. Anne Wipf replies: "Yes, it is the right name, the same in its French translation "vigne vierge". As you can see on my picture called "magical window", virginia creeper grows everywhere on my walls For the stars, I did some white circles on Photoshop and added an outside light.
