SciFi and Fantasy Art: Night fairy

I wished to draw a night fairy, with moth wings, and a lantern on her hand. Don’t ask me how I get the idea of a fairy baby,  I really don’t know ! But, now, you know where fairy babies are coming from... I know : the proportions of the arm handing the lantern are wrong.   But, nevetheless, I like this picture, don’t you ?

Color Pencils + watercolors + ink + details (light) with Photoshop.

C'est une très jolie composition. J'adore les couleurs et la façon dont les personnages sont mis en scène. Bravo!

The baby fairy is simply adorable! No matter where it came from that is a great idea. 2

I like the way this picture is coloured - it's got a clean feeling with some strong edges here and there, but it's not over the top! 2

So beautyful! She's so pretty! Love her wings and the colours of the whole pic. The baby is really adorable, but I think his face is not the face of a baby, it seems much older(mainly because of the nose, I think).

9 Anne Wipf replies: "I didn't noticed it but, enlarging the picture, I car see that you are probably right, even if I think that is is mostly due to the cheek (too thin) than to the nose which seems correct... Nevertheless, thank you for visiting and for your kind comments."

This picture glows serenity and charm in a sexy and misterious kind of way... love it!

Great picture. I like you draw black lines around the figure and some of the leaves. Plus it has a big moon in the background... I chose a fullmoon or a crescent as a background motif often. I find the moon fascinating.

it looks lik Art Noveau, those sharp lines soft colours create a unique impression!

:-) Anne Wipf replies: "Mmmm : I don’t think that is was any Art Nouveau influence. I was perhaps more inspired by some Belgium comic strips (?). Thank you for your lovely comment."

Simply beautiful. I even recognize the plant. It grows out on our back fence. Around here it’s called Virginia Creeper. I imagine it has other names. How do you do the little spots of sta light in your pictures? I love that effect.

:-) Anne Wipf replies: "Yes, it is the right name, the same in its French translation "vigne vierge". As you can see on my picture called "magical window", virginia creeper grows everywhere on my walls 12 For the stars, I did some white circles on Photoshop and added an outside light. Thank you for your lovely comment. 1"
