SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sunset

After [Dawn]  this is my personification of the Sunset. I hope you'll like it. A very old iron chandelier gave me the model for the border: are they griffins? I don't know. Done with watercolours and a few golden pen.

Britannia is sunset. Or perhaps another warrior woman like Bodecia? And again that frame looks almost real and seems to be casting a shadow. Oh and I can see a little bird on the ear of wheat. Nice little touch.

Hmmm, an interesting companion to the Dawn piece. Is there a reason she’s outfitted for battle? I don’t object, but I am curious as to how or why it manifested that way

:-) Anne Wipf replies: "I thought to Athena, when I draw this picture: Athena being often associated to Ares, and Ares/Mars being - in astrology - associated to East, the Rising Sun, etc... "

Ahh...that makes sense, after a fashion

:-) Anne Wipf replies: "Yes, a bit complitated, I know. But I was just looking for a character to illustrate Sunset, and this one came on my mind. "
